Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins is also referred to as Antonietta Gonzales-Collins within the US as well as Mexico, is an American Mexican sportscaster. She is the host of SportsNation and is a SportsCenter anchor. She joined ESPN as a news anchor in the year 2016. The child of television journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins was bi-lingual since nine years old a useful talent that enabled her to get her first job as a production assistant with Univision in Miami and allowed her to work with the producers of National programs like Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. Soon after, her parents separated and, in 1995 Fabio Fajardo remarried. He died of kidney cancer in the year 2006. While on a vacation Antonietta was staying at her sister's house in Canton Ohio. Her older Collins sister had just landed a new job. Still a senior in high school and yet with a clear idea what she would like to accomplish with her life Antonietta was able to visit at the University of Mount Union to assess if it suited her requirements. She loved the campus. The university also provided her with the major that she desired. After finishing her high school education, she chose to enroll at the university to pursue a degree in Media Studies. Mark Bergmann, her professor who was also the manager of the WRMU's 91.1FM station where she worked for a number of years, was a friend. The professor encouraged her to believe in herself and was greatly moved by his enthusiasm for journalism.
